Custom Stream Guide

Get your draft overlay on stream in a couple of minutes, then make it look exactly how you want.

What it does

Custom Stream puts a live draft overlay on your broadcast. You add one link to OBS, and from then on your picks and bans show up on stream automatically as the draft happens.

The best part: your overlay URL never changes. You set up OBS once, and for every new match you just link a fresh draft from the Custom Stream page. No fiddling with OBS again, no copying new links between games.

Good to know

Everything you change saves on its own. There is no save button, and your overlay updates in real time while you tweak things.

Quick start

If you just want to get going, here are the three steps. Each one is explained in more detail below.

  1. 1

Copy your overlay URL into OBS

On the Custom Stream page, copy the OBS Browser Source URL and add it as a Browser source in OBS. You only do this once.
  2. 2

    Link a draft

Paste a draft link or ID into the Linked Draft box and hit Link. Your overlay starts showing that draft right away.
  3. 3

    Make it yours

Adjust colors, sizing, player names, and the layout until it fits your stream. Changes appear live.

Setting up OBS

On the Custom Stream page you will see a box called OBS Browser Source URL. That link is yours and it stays the same forever, so you only need to do this part once.

  1. Click Copy next to your overlay URL.
  2. In OBS, add a new source to your scene and choose Browser.
  3. Paste your URL into the URL field.
  4. Set the width and height to match your canvas (for example 1920 x 1080).
  5. Click OK, then position the overlay where you want it.

The overlay has a transparent background, so it sits neatly on top of your gameplay or scene without a colored box behind it.

Series & games

If you link a series (a best of 3 or 5, for example), a game selector appears with buttons like G1, G2, and so on. Click a game to put it on the overlay.

Games unlock in order. A later game stays locked until the ones before it are finished, which keeps your overlay on the right game during a live series.

Draft overrides

Overrides let you tidy up what viewers see without touching the actual draft room. Each section has its own toggle, so turn on only what you need.

Names

Show player names on the pick cards instead of (or alongside) champion names. Type a name into each pick slot for blue and red. There is a handy Swap blue / red button if the sides flipped, and a Reset to clear them. Adding any name turns this on automatically.

Score

Show series score on the LCK overlay as filled and unfilled circles at the top of the middle section. Choose Bo3 or Bo5, then enter each team's current wins. Scores follow the correct side on the overlay when teams swap blue and red between games.

Pick layout & corrections

Reorder picks by dragging them into the order you want, swap a champion if something needs fixing, and correct bans on the overlay. This is great when the in-game order does not match how you want it presented on stream. It only changes the overlay, not the original draft.

Draft controls

Hold a live draft back until you are ready, catch up at your own pace, or restart a finished draft for a post-game breakdown. There is more on this just below.

Appearance & layout

The Appearance & Layout panel is where you make the overlay match your stream. It has two tabs:

  • Appearance for colors and sizing. Tweak the overlay colors and scale things up or down so everything fits your scene.
  • Layout for the overall style. Choose between the layouts and adjust sizing for the one you pick.

At the top of the panel you will find three shortcuts:

  • Export saves your look to a file you can keep or share.
  • Import loads a look from a file, handy for reusing the same style or copying a teammate's setup.
  • Reset puts colors, sizing, and layout back to the defaults.

Draft controls

Draft controls put you in charge of when a draft shows up on stream. Turn the section on under Draft overrides and the overlay freezes on the draft exactly as it stands: an empty board if it has not started, the picks and bans already made if it is under way, or the finished board if the draft is done. Nothing new reaches the overlay until you say so.

Pick a Fixed wait between actions, or a Range for a random wait between a min and max.

The two counters in the panel tell you where things stand: On stream is how much of the draft your viewers can see, and Draft room is how far the real draft has got. When they meet, the overlay is caught up.

Start draft
begins revealing picks and bans one at a time. On a live draft it hands over once it catches up; on a finished draft it plays out role confirmation and then holds on the final board.
Pause
freezes the overlay where it is. The real draft keeps going, so the overlay falls behind and will catch back up when you resume.
Step
reveals exactly one more pick or ban, handy when you want to talk through a draft at your own pace.
drops the delay and snaps the overlay onto the current or finished draft.
Restart
clears the board and holds at the start, so you can walk through a draft again from the first ban. That is how you do a post-game breakdown.

Role confirmation and the finished board stay hidden until the overlay has revealed the last pick. If the teams confirmed their roles, the overlay finishes by moving each champion into its lane, one swap at a time. In a fearless or ironman series, only champions from earlier games show in the used list until the overlay reveals the current game's picks.

Switching to another game in a series, or turning the section off and on again, puts the overlay back on hold at whatever that draft has reached. Turning it off hands the overlay straight back to the live or finished draft.

Tips & FAQ

Do I need to set up OBS again for each match?

No. Your overlay URL stays the same forever. After the first setup, you only ever link a new draft.

Do I have to save my changes?

No save button needed. Everything saves automatically and updates on the overlay in real time.

Will my edits change the real draft?

No. Overrides like player names, reordered picks, and corrections only affect what shows on your overlay. The original draft room is untouched.

Want to preview the overlay?

Click your overlay URL on the Custom Stream page to open it in a new tab and see exactly what viewers will get.
